Made from paint sample cards!

We dropped by a hardware store at the weekend and picked up a few paint sample cards. The colours were so beautiful I had to use them for something! This is the first of a few projects so watch out for more posts!
I cut a circle from white card and glued the paint cards round the edge. Using the same colours, I glued small squares of each onto wooden pegs. I’ve been impressed with how good the two year olds in my class can differentiate between different shades and match the correct colours.
In the centre of the wheel I put squares of the opposite colours and then right in the centre, I put the primary colours using felt to add a tactile element. This colour wheel will be great to help explain colour mixing and colour contrast.
