We have decided to do 24 days of origami advent this year. Each day we will make a new origami and hang it from a garland. Check back to see the daily updates! Also follow me on Instagram where I'll be posting every day!
Days 23 and 24 - A bell and Mrs Elf's shoe!
To wrap up our Christmas advent extravaganza here are two origami that were not very difficult (honestly!). Add a bit of embellishment to the shoes for extra pizzazz! Here's the instructions for the bell and the shoe.

Days 20, 21 and 22 - A santa hat, candy cane and Christmas cracker
These are all very easy so I made them together. Aren't they nice as a set? See here for instructions : Santa hat, candy cane, Christmas cracker.

Day 19 - Mittens
How cute are these? Easy too! See here for instructions.

Day 18 - An Elf
This little guy was super easy. Anyone can do this one. Add a few embellishments and done! Instructions are here.

Day 17 - A Gingerbread House (or two..!)
This is so easy. Please excuse the garish decorations. If you can’t get carried away at Christmas...

Day 16 - A Nutcracker This was tricky! Glad I persevered. Try it if you dare! I got there in the end

Day 15 - A Letter To Santa
We might be a little late with this but we finally got our letters to Santa written. Check out this very simple but stylish origami envelope!
Day 14 - Leaves
These are so easy and so pretty. Not truly ‘origami’ but imagine them as a wreath! I’ve added a photo to show how easy they are. Take a triangle, fold it concertina, fold in half. Done!

Day 13 - Stars, Stars, Paper Stars
These are pretty easy! Definitely one for kids aged 5+ I’d say. Here’s the video tutorial.

Day 12 - Paper Boxes
These were quick to make and easy after the first one. Definitely one I'll be doing again! Try them and see for yourself.

Day 11 - A Dove
Another tricky one! But the video tutorial is pretty good and if you've tried a few of the ones below then I would definitely recommend giving it a go! Instructions are here!
Day 10 - A Bauble For Your Tree
This origami-fest has been a bit of a journey. I started out without thinking about the commitment involved and have kept going but finding a festive origami that I can actually do and recommend each and every day has taken a lot of time! This one, like all of them, I had no idea how long it would take or whether I'd manage it - and it has taken a LONG time to get right (actually it's still not right!) However, I really enjoyed making this origami and here are the instructions if you want to try. The concertina style is easy to do but its getting the zig zag folds back and forward that's the challenge. I feel I want to perfect this one though. Might come back to it another time!

Day 9 - A Reindeer's Head
This one was so easy I CHALLENGE anyone who says that they can't do origami to do this! As the tutorial says, you can also use this origami to make foxes and owls...and I think cats would also work.. maybe even a German Shepherd dog?

Day 8 - A Reindeer
This was really easy. It used two sheets of paper. One for the little ones to try! Click here for instructions!

Day 7 - A snowman
Not too difficult. My five year old joined me in making this! Can you guess whose is whose?!

Day 6: A penguin
Super easy for anyone to try! Click here for instructions.

Day 5: Poinsettia
To bring a little simplicity after yesterday's tricky angel; here's a simple poinsettia. Made from four separate pieces of origami paper. It's very easy. One for beginners!

Day 4: An Angel
Ooh this one was a little tricky! The instructions are pretty good though so give it a go!

Day 3: Santa
I'm in love with this one. We made ten of them! See here to see how he was made. He was pretty easy. My four year old helped with this one and drew on the eyes and nose.

Day 2: Stars
Instructions here - again - no tricky folds so worth trying even if you are a newbie to origami.

Day 1: Christmas Tree
Instructions can be found here - pretty easy to make and a nice one to start off our origami challenge!
