I think you can tell we had fun with this one. It took two sittings to complete too but the result was great. My four year old did her craft all by herself after seeing me make my card. Hopefully Daddy will be happy with his cards from us - and he might even forgive us for cutting up his deck of cards!

My card:

This is my four year old's card

The Process:

We started by cutting a heart shaped piece of bubble wrap. We painted it red and used it to stamp onto white paper.

We then cut a heart shaped piece of cardboard and used washi tape to decorate it all over

Then we took a deck of cards and cut up the heart suits. Don't worry, we will repurpose the others too! We took the pieces and added some scrap red paper from another old craft and decorated another heart.

We cut out all our hearts with zig-zag scissors, stuck some card on the back so that they would stick out from the card backing and arranged them on the paper. We finished off the card with a cardboard gift tag which we stamped with a heart and tied on with red and white string.

Happy Valentines Day!
