Things to talk about every day with young children

Learning about the world around them is vital in helping little ones develop. These wooden spoon weather puppets are a great tool to help talk about the weather with kids each and every day. You can look out of the window and talk about how the sky looks, how bright it is and what you might need to wear. You could even use them before getting kids dressed for the day. I made them for circle time with my little ones in school but they are versatile. There are many weather songs out there too so you could further add to this by bringing in a song.

Simple and Neat!

They were made to fit neatly into a wooden box with a plain background so that whichever weather spoon is chosen can be help up against the background. I personally do prefer to sing a song to finalise the activity. There are many to choose from or make up your own!
