An Easy and Quick Winter Fine Motor Activity

Preparation

This was so easy it barely needs explanation! Get a plastic bottle and remove the cap. Wash it out and let it dry. Stick on some felt shapes to make a snowman - I used a glue gun because my two year olds are prone to finding deconstruction as interesting as construction (!).

The Activity

Give the children squares of paper, lengths of yarn, white pom poms etc so that they can fill up the container. You can add an element of trickiness if you make them use tweezers. Whatever they are filling the container with will help with their fine motor skills. My little two year olds loved this activity. We put it on the shelf and brought it out again another day to fill it up some more.
